Stompin’ Tom

Hey blog world! I read some very sad news on the internet last night. Stompin’ Tom Connors Stompin Tom has passed away at the age of 77. Thankfully he went peacefully. He died of natural causes. He was a Country singer. He got the name Stompin’ Tom because he’d always stomp his left foot while he played the guitar and sang. Stompin’ Tom wrote a very famous song that I’m sure everyone in Canada knows. It’s “The Hockey Song” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmimLBSTEUw. It’s my favorite one that he sings! It was even used in an episode of “Being Ian” called “Hockey Night In Burnaby”! I also like his song called “Bud The Spud” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FqoiRgMpeM and “Sudburry Saturday Night” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4qO-oTCuCw. He’s a true Canadian icon and will definately be missed! R.I.P Stompin’ Tom!
