“Les Miserables” Movie Review

Hey blog world! On Sunday my friend and I spent the day together at the mall! We did a little shopping (I got a Brad Paisley CD, season 2 of “Scrubs” and a crossword puzzle book) then we went to the theater to see “Les Miserables”! Ever since the first time I saw the trailler for the film http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVUk-BRZVAM I knew I wanted to see it! I was so giddy and excited when we got to the theater! “Les Miserables” is a really popular movie so there was an extremely long line to get in to see it. It was totally worth the wait! The film was absolutely incredible! It’s about a criminal named Jean Valjean (played by Hugh Jackman) who spent 19 years in prison for stealing a loaf of bread and has broken parole. He agrees to take care of the daughter of factory worker Fantine (played by Anne Hathaway). This movie is also a musical! I loved all the singing! Especially Anne Hathaway! She was incredible! When she sang “I Dreamed A Dream” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wJ-yzL6MFs I was blown away at how talented she was! I also enjoyed hearing “Castle On A Cloud” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-fmpY3lUhc. It sounded so cute when Cosette sang it! Then men were good singers as well. The police officer named Javert (played by Russel Crowe) was good. His voice was really powerful! As was Hugh Jackmans. His portrayal of Jean Valjean was amazing! One character in the film that freaked me out a bit was Thénardier Thénardier. He and his wife take care of Cosette. He’s a bit demented because (spoiler alert) in the movie during “Master Of The House” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBU1PCIqO-8 he rips off some dudes leg, puts it through the meat grinder, turns it into a sausage and feeds it to his daughter Eponine. Also he’s a very mean dude! He (and his wife) treat Cosette terribly! Thénardier can’t even remember Cosette’s name! Several times in the film he calls her Colette! There was a lot of death in this movie and also a lot of blood (Javert had to tread through massive puddles of it that covered the entire street!) Those parts were quite sad. Other than the sad bits this was a great movie! I had a lot of favorite parts! “Lovely Ladies” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKnMjxPgamc was one and another one of my favorite parts was “One Day More” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpGA_VRc1Ro! I absolutely LOVED this film and if I could I would definately see it in the theater again! Have you seen it? What did you think? Tell me in the comments!
